Darius Bufnea

Bio

Darius Bufnea is an associate professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania. He received the Ph.D. degree from Babeș-Bolyai University in 2008. He was the director of one research grant funded by the Romanian funding agency and a member of another six. He has authored over 40 research papers on networking, congestion control, information retrieval, parallel computing, and web technologies. He is the co-author of four books that cover different computer science related topics. His current focus and interest are on cybersecurity, leading several cyber security related educational programmes at UBB, one of them being the Cybersecurity master programme developed under the umbrella of EIT Digital.
