Stefano Markidis

Bio

Prof. Stefano Markidis is a full professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His work focuses on high-performance computing, parallel programming, and performance optimization for scientific and data-intensive applications. His research and teaching span GPU computing, scalable algorithms, and tools for analyzing and improving code performance on modern heterogeneous architectures, as well as quantum computing and quantum machine learning. He has led and contributed to research projects and training activities, helping students and researchers build practical skills in profiling, optimization, and efficient Python programming for real-world computational workloads.
